One of the most unique and unexpected places that I ever had the pleasure of playing a night was in Tel Aviv and enjoying the sights of Jerusalem. It actually took me a few years (5 to be exact) to finally make it there to play because from what I had understood, the scene was not quite yet ready. After 5 years and the promise from the homie Soul Supreme who had come to our Brooklyn BBQ’s every summer, it was finally time to make the trip to play his party, The Hop which he did along with Dase Boogie and DJ Mesh. The Hop was a dope basement style Hip Hop, Funk & Soul party that really felt authentic and unlike anything else that was happening in the country. Of course during my stay in Tel Aviv, sightseeing around the city as well as a day trip to Jerusalem was necessary. The country has been one of my favorite places to visit and especially Jerusalem which felt very peaceful and of course very religious with many people visiting.
