New and exciting sounds coming via Italy from the duo of Nicola Conte & Gianluca Petrella with their latest 12″ “Sun Song” which follows their previous release and takes things to new heights. For those who love digging into the dancefloor world but haven’t discovered the pleasure of Detroit Nu-Disco and Afro Spiritual Funk yet, this will give you insight and a primer into their sound that has been infectious in the club scene and hopefully one that could very well lead into a full length LP.
“Sun Song”, is a delightful journey into Detroit-influenced contemporary disco whose mesmerising and hypnotic samples bring the listener into a buoyant ecstatic trance. On the flip, “Nigeria”, the afro-jazz track on the B-side, can also count on external collaborations with two special guests: the young pianist Seby Burgio and the critically acclaimed drummer Tommaso Cappellato (Ropeadope Records, Jazz Re:Freshed).
