There’s been a lot of interest lately to bring projects, especially soundtracks to vinyl that many have been looking forward to for quite sometime. Many of these films have become classics and favorites over the years and cross genres from Anime to Horror, Sci-Fi to Thrillers. One film that should come as no surprise is the action crime thriller, Léon: The Professional directed by Luc Besson and stars Jean Reno, Gary Oldman and the debut performance of a young Natalie Portman. Waxwork Records recently announced the film score debut of this classic that was sourced from the original master tapes and re-mastered for vinyl by producer and former White Zombie guitarist, J. Yuenger.
The packaging comes in two variations and includes 180 gram “Gunmetal” with black splatter colored vinyl or “Upper East Side Splatter”, heavy weight old style tip on jackets with soft-touch coating and new artwork by Oliver Barrett. It’s great to see a well executed, beautifully designed package and delivery of this masterpiece for it’s first vinyl pressing. Available via http://waxworkrecords.com
