Melbourne’s cinematic and funky outfit known as Surprise Chef sets up a return that will surely deliver one of our favorite albums of the year in a fashion that only they could do. The new album, Frogs In A Pond is an examination into, and an expression of a shared human experience. The Australian quintet found inspiration from European film composers working in the late 60s and early 70s. The music expresses musical themes with a cinematic landscape of moods and feelings that evoke emotion without the listener having watched the film for which the music was composed, pushing boundaries that dictate a unique perspective to their music.
