Yesterday a nice box of goodies arrived at the office via the West Coast from Boogieburg Records filled with a stack of 45’s of varying tropical flavors and vibes that’s surely going to be tucked away in my bags for this Summers travel dates and festival appearances across the globe. Their upcoming drop (and the 6th release from the label) that will be hitting the record bins world wide next month comes from LA’s KidGusto who’s sound is just the right temperature to light up dance floors worldwide with spanning influences from South America to West Africa and beyond has teamed up with one of my favorites, Jungle Fire and vocalist Caro Cobo for the A-side with “Gully Son”. On the flip, “WOZA Beat” takes the trip across coasts to enlist DC’s The Harry Bells Band to make this a family affair and bring culture together.
