Funk Night Records keeps the ball rolling and plants pressing with more selections for your musical enjoyment. The latest connection comes via Switzerlands Kind & Kinky Zoo, a band that I’ve been familiar with for quite sometime and have really come to appreciate their growth and sound which is rather something special to the ears. The latest 45 packs “Sakura Chan” which is rather fitting for this time of year which has just ended for Cherry Blossom season and the sound is something that you would expect to hear if you closed your ears and only saw the sights of beautiful blossoms covering the skies. On the flip side, “Seabass” is an all out instrumental session that’s heavy on the flute with backing drums, keys and bass to keep things tight. Both sides are great examples of taking the sounds of Jazz and enhancing them to another realm.
