Mike Wallace – Theme & Beat 01

There’s something special about seeing great friends who are passionate about their crafts pushing forward to create something amazing and giving the world a piece of their soul which they’ve worked so hard. In an independent music era we’ve seen and heard some great music being released by artists and musicians especially in the cinematic landscape which has picked up steam over the last few years. But one name that should be known to those in the scene especially in the Library music and soundtrack world is Mike Wallace who over the years has amassed one of the finest vinyl collections within the genre and was known as a goto source for it.  Always one who strives to do more, during the pandemic Mike pushed his creativity to the next level by learning to play multiple instruments and added onto his home recording studio and set out to record his first library’esque LP which finally gets it’s debut today via Potions Music. On his inaugural outing, Mike Wallace delivers a stellar listen fusing the sounds of cinema which would make even the greats give their nod of approval.

“After 20+ years of amassing and absorbing various music from across the world, well respected DJ and rare record magnate Mike Wallace sold off a large portion of his album & VHS collection, converted his home garage into a state of the art recording studio & began learning to play a multitude of instruments. During this time he was also interning at a local recording studio to learn the back end process of putting together an album. Mike opens up the curtain with Theme & Beat Vol. 1, the first in a series of film music inspired meanderings that reflect decades of dedication, introspection, joy and tranquility.”
