For his 12th LP, he returns to the gothic-horror and Giallo grooves of Voce d’Ombra, bringing that black-magic affair to its climax with a sequel filled with phantasmagoric sound.
Drawing on the psychedelic razors edge of Italian and French library and OST music, Wolcott pushes into new territory through apocalyptically heavy grooves, harpsichord and organ fugues, soaring strings, séance incantations, and sounds from beyond the void. The album continues to expand Wolcott’s sonic range and imagination while remaining unmistakably his own voice. Beautiful, terrifying, and fierce, it channels spirits that Bruno Nicolai, François de Roubaix, David Axelrod, I Marc 4, and Goblin would relish.
