The Drop – Dino’s (Nashville)

Some things never change and my burger mission is one of those long lasting obsessions that never ends and finds me in new locations from time to time.  A couple of weeks back while in Nashville playing the Funky Good Time party, Case Bloom (of Tucker & Bloom) recommended hitting Dino’s before heading to the party and what I found myself eating was a burger that was a perfect memory of how I remember burgers growing up and before they trend of complicating them.

Dino’s is a historic establishment and the oldest dive bar in East Nashville and once inside, it shows. It’s dark, the furniture looks like it’s been there since the late 1970s, the music is good, the beer selection get’s straight to the point and the menu has something for everyone, just the way I like my go to spots.  You can get anything from a fried fish sandwich to Nashville’s famous Hot Chicken, buttermilk pancakes and even homemade pie but for me, burgers are always first choice and the signature Dino’s Cheeseburger did not disappoint.  Everything was perfect from the bun to the beef with the extra crispy fries being the crown on top to make this pre game meal complete.

Burgers are supposed to be simple and the best are always found out these old school cafe’s and bars in small towns that serve up locals with great eats and aren’t searching for Food Network fame, but definitely deserve it.
