I’ve been having a lot of conversations with fellow DJ’s and collectors about the price of vinyl and paying the cost to be the boss of having a killer collection. We can all agree that having those rare gems in your crates is often times what separates you from your fellow collectors but lacking in having some of those common records or “cheap heat” pieces is down right disrespectful to the craft. So we’ve decided to start a new column to give shine to essential pieces that every collector should have somewhere tucked away in their stash.
Dave Grusin – 3 Days of Condor (1975)
Lalo Schifrin – Mannix (1968)
Cal Tjader – Sounds Out Burt Bacharach (1968)
