A few weeks back I had the pleasure of playing the Westword Artopia event in Denver alongside the homie, DJ A-L. Westword is a yearly art festival with this year focusing heavily on art, music, fashion and culture within Hip Hop spread across multiple decades. Besides the influence of NY / East Coast flavors, Denver Hip Hop was represented properly which is always great to see what was contributed on a local level to the culture. There were tons of vintage pieces and memorabilia on display from boom boxes to graff magazines, authentic clothing to custom designed jewelry and more.
