This past weekend while in Atlanta, I had the pleasure of hanging out with the DJ homie AlphaTrion to celebrate his crews 13th anniversary as well at making a brief stop by to Diamond Street Studios where he works to grab the new 45 that he’s been telling me about from Diamond Street Players. We’ve featured their previous release here at Nostalgia King so I was definitely excited to get a first hand listen which is exactly what I was expecting from them. This could honestly be a double A-sider with the politically charged “How Many Lies, How Many Times” b/w the heavy instrumental organ funk, “Organ Workout”.
Both tunes are absolutely ripe for the picking and ready for plenty of spins especially Organ Workout which is surely a dance floor filler. This in-house band and studio combo definitely has great chemistry going on both musically and sound recording wise which is top class in every way.
