While in L.A. I had the pleasure of stopping pass The Broad Museum to check out the current exhibition “Soul of A Nation” Art in the Age of Black Power 1963 – 1983 which features very powerful and incredible art from some of the most important names. The exhibition covers a wide spectrum of art styles featured on canvas, photography and print covering a range of topics all connected the dots socially and politically. The exhibition goes in-depth with detail and really paints a vivid picture of the struggles of the Black American which still exists today.
