Phill Most Chill & Krash Slaughter – Play It Back

Some things are a given and not up for debate so when we talk about legendary beat digger and thoroughbred MC, Phill Most Chill being the hardest working man in the game, he’s holding the crown down and isn’t letting it go anytime soon. His output of projects and discography is one that stands heads and shoulders above others in the league and the kicker, he’s just having fun with it. His latest release, “Play It Back” with world renowned scratch / turntablist, producer and pioneer of the UK Hip Hop scene Krash Slaughter flows right in line with the signature Phill Most Chill aesthetics and gives us a heavy dosage of that quality ol’ boom bap business.

Play It Back is 10 head banging sure shots to get you open and is really refreshing especially in this era of rap which has become tired to say the least. Phill Most Chill holds things down on the solo tip with the exception of “Who Dat” which is a Philly gathering of the vocals and features Fat Nice and yours truly, Skeme Richards fresh out of the basement and into the booth! Krash Slaughta captured the essence of the production perfectly that truly fits the Phill Most sound one kick, snare, hi hat, sample and scratch at a time.
