Going through some of the 35mm photo archives from my collection and came past one from 2007 in New York City with my Rock Stead brother and legendary subway graffiti artist, Carlos “Mare 139” Rodriquez while at the Rock Steady Crew anniversary. Since Mare’s subway days, he’s stayed active on the scene working with greats like photographer Henry Chalfont, designed the BET award, done gallery exhibitions and most recently become the curator of the Museum of Graffiti in Miami.
