Throughout the years our ears and taste in music is constantly switching and maturing to what we’re into and how deep our appreciation level goes and especially as a music lover of all kinds, the music oftentimes defines who we are in that moment. One genre that seems to be a mainstay in our listening is Jazz-funk, and whether it’s in the form of sampling which definitely much of our production back in the early 1990’s or our everyday listening here at the Nostalgia King offices, the genre is both timeless and endless in every way. So when there’s something new that comes across our desk that holds those aesthetics, we’re all ears and excited to hear what sounds it produces once the needle drops.
Recently coming up on our radar and introduced to us by our good friends over at DigFindSampleChopRepeat is the new LP by Aesthetic, perfectly titled, AnEsthetic which is fitting as the sounds are exactly that. The album is dynamic, provoking and surreal which takes you through places and spaces and back again.

AnEsthetic isn’t an overnight project and actually took years to create with some material pulled from tapes recorded in the 80’s and 90’s and also adding new material and compositions. This collection of Jazz-funk heat is suitable for the connoisseur of music that is looking to add only the best of collectible music to their collection!
