When it comes to our choice film selections classic heist films of the 1960’s and 1970’s, there are several things that make them complete. The actors, the storyline, directing and of course and of course, the cinematic backdrop scored by any number of our favorite composers during that time is the one thing that ties the film together. Without sound, the film wouldn’t be as dynamic but the standalone scoring by itself can be interpreted in many ways and a story can be told just by using your imagination. Over the last 10+ years we’ve been treated to quite a few “new library sounds” or cinematic funk as some like to call it but there’s something new that’s finding it’s way into our rotation that will surely become a crate essential in our library and soundtrack section. Minneapolis has always been a hotspot for music but something of the cinematic nature caught us totally off guard and we love that!
