A transatlantic collaboration between Philadelphia producer duo Eraserhood Sound and Berlin/Brooklyn-based artist Yvonne Ambrée, Devotion is a three-track EP built from warm, live-recorded rhythms, soulful vocals, and synth-driven textures. The EP touches on disco, synth-pop, soul, boogie, and more.
Written and recorded over the past six months at Eraserhood Sound’s Philadelphia studio—originally built for Questlove—the project captures the immediacy of three musicians creating together in the room. The core tracks were recorded live in single takes, with Vincent John on bass, Maxwell Perla on drums, and Yvonne Ambrée on synths, before additional overdubs and vocals were layered in to shape the final sound.
The result is a warm, soul-infused record that blends timeless musicality with modern pop songwriting, channeling Eraserhood Sound’s signature “Synth & Soul” palette while placing Ambrée’s silky smooth vocals at the center.
The EP revolves around the idea of devotion—the longing for commitment, connection, and things that remain just out of reach.
