2026 is in full swing and Dippin’ Records starts strong out of the gate with the upcoming single from the lovely Saucy Lady with Love Telepathy (ラヴ・テレパシー）produced by Slynk who really pulled out all of the stops on this energetic double-sider. Being bilingual and fluent in both English and Japanese gives Saucy Lady a very strong upper hand in being able to bring an authentic sound of Japanese soul and City Pop in a way that connects the dots to that of the 80’s golden era. Production duties were handled by Slynk to totally got the assignment and brought out the absolute best in Saucy Lady.
On the flip Yuki ‘U KEY’ Kanesaka, also known for his work as monolog, offers a Cat’s Eye Mix that completely reimagines the song with live instrumentation featuring his elite Boston based musicians transforming ‘Love Telepathy’ into a sweet ode to 80s Japanese funk. Both versions shine in their own lanes making this a must spin for fans of nostalgic City Pop energy.
