A short time back, we reviewed the debut single from Seattle’s Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio which ranks in as a greasy funk, organ spectacular in the same vein as and inspired by some of the greats before including The Meters and Booker T & The MGs. So today we present you with a preview to their upcoming LP, “Close But No Cigar” which takes that same sound and brings it to new levels. Funky all around and even covers one of our favorite James Brown cuts, “Ain’t It Funky”.
