One of the best things about visiting Fukuoka Japan besides the people and sites, is the food. Especially known for Fukuoka style ramen which is top style and different than other regions, they have local dishes that aren’t available in other parts of Japan. There are also certain vegetables that only grow in Fukuoka which makes eating there even more special. This go around it was an oddball selection for me, everything from the super spicy tofu (which I’m not a big fan of tofu but the spicy tofu made me a believer) to the potato salad with fish eggs on top. You can’t be a world traveler without going outside of your comfort zone and enjoying what the locals eat. But of course my usual tempura and Udon, shrimp and deep fried chicken were also on the menu just to make things official.
