Delights strikes again with another cinematic gem which continues to solidify why they have become our favorite label for releasing this type of sound. On the latest release, we hear Brighton cinematic psych combo MNP deliver a solid double-sider that touches on all the right spots.
The tense crime jazz-psych smasher A-side “Chicxulub” sees Simon “Beta Hector” Hill switching to double bass, and welcomes the band’s new member, Lee Nicklen, on keys. On the flipside, MNP are joined again by Markey Funk, who spices up their moody slow-burner “Linus” with pinches of space-age exotica.
If soundtracks, psych and cinematic explosions are what you dig, then Delights is sure to satisfy your craving while filling your crate.
