True Loves – Sunday Afternoon (KEXP Remix)

It’s a cold snowy Sunday morning and it’s only right that the postman makes a special delivery of the latest 7″ release by True Loves with “Sunday Afternoon” (KEXP Remix) and it’s more than enough to start melting the snow away. Opening up with a nice rhythm of horn stabs before leading way to a blaring horn drop as head nodding drums take way to give us a raw yet polished slinky groove that’s the perfect compliment to starting the day.

The B-side features “On The Spot” which opens like a 1970’s exploitation film chase scene that will have you running down dark alley’s, jumping over turnstiles at your local subway station and most importantly, get you moving on the dance floor. It’s an exciting blend of cinematic funk that would make Quentin Tarantino brag about discovering it first and before anyone else.
