Simfonyx – Putsch. Teil Eins b/w Widerstand

Becoming a specially curated label of international sounds, Delights45 is back at it again and this time with a third release from SimfOnyx that covers the soundscape spectrum of that will pique you ears and interest. Delights releases always deliver the complete double-sider package and giving something for everything which is exactly the case here and what we’ve come to love from the label.

The Haifa-Jerusalem duo SimfOnyx (Shuzin and Markey Funk) is unleashing another pair of tunes recorded in the same session as their previous instalment, “Der Maulwurf/Eolomea”. Just like on their earlier releases, the two continue expanding their sound, crossing and connecting different genre territories under the wide umbrella of cinematic, psych-spiked grooves. This time, Markey and Shuz are channelling the free spirit of West German library kings Klaus Weiss and Peter Thomas to reflect on current political events in their home country. The dark and dubby slow-burner “Putsch. Teil Eins” (“Coup. Part One”) is backed by the aggressive floor-smashing funk of “Widerstand” (“Resistance”) on the flip.
