It’s that time once again, where the sounds of the unknown find their way to our decks and pouring out of the speakers courtesy of the Delights label who prides themselves in giving you something authentic and unique from their musical perspective. Dropping in and celebrating their 25th release which is a milestone in itself especially for a self-funded micro label, the new release by Mozaik Ses is exactly the type of audio soundscape that we’ve come to love from the label.
Mozaik Ses is a result of a spontaneous studio jam between members of the Tel-Aviv-based funk combo VuVuVu, the pioneering Munich legend JJ Whitefield (The Poets of Rhythm, Karl Hector & the Malcouns), and Delights head honcho, Markey Funk. Together, they’ve cooked two pieces of scorching Eastern-flavoured groove: the hypnotic “Aralkum”, named after the youngest desert on Earth, and the menacing upbeat floor-killer “Zellij”.
Be sure to grab copies at your earliest as the releases are known to sell out once people get hipped.
