Dusties Magazine Issue 1

Super excited to announce that the debut issue of Dusties Magazine is finally available for order! It’s been quite sometime since the scene has had a print magazine of this nature but this is what diggers, record collectors and DJ’s have been waiting for! The debut issue is packed full of content, interviews, holy grails and more. To kick things off, there is a 3-part retrospective that covers the history of DJ Culture beginning with those who laid the foundation for what this has become. When we think of DJ culture, we commonly point towards The Bronx and it’s influence and in the first issue, they turn their sights on Brooklyn to get history of their Mobile Urban DJ’s of the 1970’s. For the record heads, there are great features on “Bollywood Abroad”, foundational records with “The Sacred Crates” , history of the Bootleg Compilations and a trip to New York’s WFMU Record Show.

For the first issue, I have the pleasure of being the cover feature with an in-depth interview on DJ’ing, digging, collecting and traveling the globe. To make things even more special, if you subscribe for a year (4 issues) you will receive the exclusive mixtape cassette, “Original Pressing” that I recorded for the magazine. The cassette is also available individually at both the Dusties Magazine site as well as here at Nostalgia King.

Other featured interviews include Prince Paul, Mista Sinista, Matt The Vinyl Hunter, DJ Chips and more.
