Music and film have always been a love of mine so when being able to create something special that combines the two, it’s always a pleasure. Making our second appearance at Cine k in Oldenburg for a live scoring and screening, Oonops and myself went all in to deliver something amazing for the audience. For our second screening, we chose the Blaxploitation classic, Coffy starring the lovely Pam Grier to show on the big screen. Oonops opened the evening up playing prime selection of tunes to the cinematic backdrop of classic Japanese Tokusatsu. For the main feature presentation, the lights were dimmed and the action began with Pam setting the stage. I never know what arrangement that I’ll play for these live scorings but it’s always a wild ride and one that’s unique to each showing.
