Known for his outrageous Afro tucked underneath his cap, legendary baseball player Oscar Gamble passed away a few weeks back. Oscar played as an outfielder and designated hitter in Major League Baseball for 17 seasons, from 1969 to 1985, for seven different teams: the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees on two separate occasions, as well as the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers.
Fellow DJ and baseball historian, DJ Primetime recently covered Oscar Gamble’s passing over on his Baseball Happenings site. Head over there to find out more about this legendary player and his career. http://www.baseballhappenings.net
