Cover versions are always something that can either be an incredible take on the original or a total mess and somethings are better left alone. But in this case, Chris Hazelton’s Boogaloo 7 took something that was already good and made great in it’s own way. After covering the Justin Timberlake & Jay Z’s “Suit & Tie” and taking it to the next level, the band covers and pays tribute to a Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings classic, “100 Days, 100 Nights” (Pt. 1&2). Just as expected, they absolutely kill it with their take on it and make it their own. Beautiful all around and a perfect spin at your next gig for folks who like to get it in.
