We love artist debut releases here at Nostalgia King especially when we get the jump on things and have the early bird preview of what’s to come which is exactly what’s happening as we make this very post. Finding it’s way into our rotation is the upcoming release by Grandbaby that’s about the heat up the dance floor as things start to open and night clubs and festivals start to fill up.
“Congo Solar” b/w “The Melody of Talk” is the double-sided 7″ by Grandbaby that was recorded in an underground WWII bunker in an English countryside in the UK. The uptempo, heavy as a boulder instrumental has a very disco’esque approach but is much more and deeper than that. Bursting with feverish energy, formidable synth lines, crunchy/catchy guitars and an unearthly brilliance and a hefty drum break, it’s the perfect complement to hot and steamy late nights while being played over great sound systems to capture it’s full glory.
