Philly Hip Hop Mural

A few weeks back, I had the pleasure of witnessing the unveiling of a new mural in Philadelphia which I have the honor of being featured on alongside some other amazing people residing in the culture including Ynot, Reef The Lost Cauze, Queen Jo, Michelle Byrd McPhee and others. The mural was sponsored and granted by the Mural Arts and painted by TAMEARTZ and Bill Strobel which is situated under the Amtrak bridge at 900 Cecil B Moore Street and takes up both walls on both sides of the street.

The unveiling and ribbon cutting ceremony took place with a packed crowd of friends and family in attendance as well a various news outlets while Jane Golden did an opening speech followed by Reef, Michelle (Ladies of Hip Hop Festival) and myself. To be featured on a mural is truly an honor but to be featured on one in your own city and recognized for your contributions to the culture is something else.
