Piero Umiliani – To Day’s Sound

Blind Faith Records has been releasing a rather interesting lineup of music with a wide range of style and sounds to appeal to varying tastes which is what makes a great label. From Funk & Blues artists like Martha High and Sugaray Rayford to beautifully reissued Italian soundtracks by the likes of Piero Piccioni and Marco Tiso, Blind Faith Records does it well. Their latest and most recent release is an essential and always a top want for collectors. Piero Umiliani’s “To Day’s Sound” is an absolute masterpiece of sound. Originally pressed in 1973 and obviously scarce and expensive when originals do pop up, having a lovely sounding reissue will fill the void for those still on the search.

Directly sourced from the original master tapes, remastered by Luca Sapio, To-day’s sound finally sounds in all his glory In the way it was meant to and couldn’t at the time due to technological limitations. Visually indistinguishable from the original and sonically audiophile-proof. The sound of today. A very strong statement. Yet, fifty years later, it remains undisputed.

Today’s sound is Piero Umiliani’s manifesto, his will to demonstrate to the world that he always has his finger on the pulsating vein of the world, ready to embrace the heartbeat of the future.

This marks the first chapter of a very limited collectibles series by Blind Faith Records & LIUTO.
