Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of performing at the Hip Hop In The Park Festival thrown by TAMEARTZ and sponsored by Snipes USA which took place at The Oval on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. This amazing festival showcased an incredible lineup of artists and DJ’s, graff writers and Bboys on a beautiful Saturday where the weather was absolutely perfect after a week of rain.
During the event something very unexpected happened which took me by surprise and made my week. I was brought up on stage and presented a Citation by the City Council of Philadelphia. This act totally blew my mind and filled me with joy and excitement and was an honor to receive it. Preserving and carrying on Hip Hop and Black culture globally as an ambassador of the art and culture is something that I do naturally and from the heart so to be recognized for it in that moment just felt good.
