We always love to see when labels go a little further than just the music to create cool and sometimes collectible things that connects the dots between music, art and culture. One of our favorite labels, Albina Music Trust who continues to preserve Black Portland culture has created a legends Soul Pack of trading cards that brings back nostalgia for us big kids who remember ripping open packs of our favorite sports and TV / movie memorabilia cards with one strip of bubble gum inside that lasted just the right amount of time to browse the deck.
The set was released in celebration of Black Music Month and houses 18 cards and features archival images and bios of historic Albina musicians, packaged in a foil wrapper. Each card contains a unique QR code linking directly to artist pages in the Albina Community Archive.
