The Du-Rites – “Bite It” b/w “Bocho’s Groove”

When reviewing product, I do my best to be as honest as possible and only review what I deem as quality and must have releases that readers, music lovers and DJ’s should be in the know of.  Pickings are often slim and I never compromise just to fill up space, but I will spend plenty of time sifting through the over abundance of bootlegs and reissues that overflow the new release sections in search of that one gem that hits a home run.  One person who makes my job easy is DJ, producer, drummer, writer, man of many words and all around thoroughbred J-Zone who seems to wearing multiple hats at the moment and is here, there and everywhere that he needs to be.  His latest release gracing the decks comes by way of The Du-Rites which is his collabo with fellow musician Pablo Martin of Tom Tom Club who deliver another stellar funk 45.  The Du-Rites are connoisseurs in the art of letting the funk flow which really stands tall on the latest 7″ “Bite It” b/w “Bocho’s Groove” thats sure to be a future dig (and an expensive one) if you snooze today.  If you’ve been staying up on previous review of The Du-Rites or anything else that we’ve promoted that J-Zone has been involved with then you know exactly what it’s hitting for. Check out the soundclip then head over to their site and grab this doubles are a must release before it’s too late!
