Some of your favorite acts have gone the Rap / Rock route, some heavy on the rock side while others a slight nod to energetic and guitar heavy genre but the new album “Black Rock” from Onyx is the perfect balance to appeal to both sides without losing their angry face appeal that their audience loves. Doing these types of albums are never an easy task and could easily go wrong but leave it up to Onyx who are seasoned enough to pull it off. Still keeping with their signature lyrical flows in tact, heavy on the drums and guest appearances from the likes of Skyzoo and R.A. The Rugged Man, Black Rock is a solid outing especially if you’re in need of something a little different in your listening rotation.
