It’s always a great feeling when you contribute to a project and then see the final results especially when it’s in the form of print. The latest issue of Disco Patrick’s Hot Stuff magazine is online and once again I had the pleasure of contributing to it alongside Jason Armitage (Dr. J), Stuart Baker, Patrick Vogt, Disco Patrick himself and a few others. If you’re not familiar with the magazine, it’s a full color record magazine that covers Funk, Soul, Jazz, Disco and Hip Hop reviews, discoveries, vintage flyers / interviews and more. In the latest issue, I wrote about the connection between Kung Fu films and Library albums, while Jason Armitage conducted a great interview with Freddy Fresh, Stuart Baker goes digging in New Orleans and of course, Disco Patrick shows off a fine collection of acetates from his personal collection.
