When it comes to books that we have here in the Nostalgia King office, nothing beats a well done book put together with beautifully shot photos that capture a time and era that no longer exists. Books that dive deep into culture, the people who were a part of that culture and the surroundings that helped to shape that culture. One of the latest books that we received here is the newly released Rock Steady For Life book, presented by Richard “Crazy Legs” Colon of the worlds famous Rock Steady Crew. When I first spoke with Crazy Legs over a year ago and he told me about the book and that it would feature plenty of never before seen or published photos from the early years of Rock Steady Crew both shot in New York and across the globe during their tours, I knew that the public would be in for an absolute treat.
Spanning across 230 pages filled with both color and black and white photos, the book is a time capsule of pure raw history curated to tell the ultimate story of the B-Boy / Hip Hop crew that took the art of breaking around the globe. This is a well documented work of art for anyone that should find it’s way onto any historian of Hip Hop cultures book shelf. Amazing in every way and highly recommeded!
