It’s been a minute since we’ve dropped the needle down on the Blaxploitation soundtrack, Three The Hard Way by The Impressions and this weekend we figured that we should give it a spin. An easy one to catch in the field while out digging, the soundtrack tops at 8 solid soulful cuts that capture the film perfectly.
The 1974 film was directed by Gordon Parks and stars three of the biggest names in the genre of that time, Jim Brown, Fred Williamson and Jim Kelly. The script… Three Black heroes team up to stop a white supremacist group led by Monroe Feather from poisoning the water supplies of Detroit, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., with a toxin designed to kill only Black people.
