One of the most creative producers of the present, yet also one of the most silent who seems to keep a low profile until it’s time to release something while letting his work speak for itself is Pittsburgh’s funk maestro, BusCrates. Recently linking up with the good people over at Bastard Jazz Recordings, BusCrates has worked a nice double-sider to get the floor moving on two sides of the coin. “Lost & Found” features the vocal talents of Sally Green which takes us back to the discotheques and roller rinks for those feel good nights out when you’re ready to cut loose and work all angles of the room without missing a beat. Flip it over to the b-side with the instrumental “Cruise Control” which makes for the perfect late nighter for those of us who like to take long drives after hours through the city on hot summer nights.
