Last Friday morning I landed at Frankfurt airport for the kick off the 2017 Butta 45’s Germany tour. This is the 7th year that we’ve been doing the tour and every year is just as exciting as the previous. After linking up with Scarce One, we headed to Marburg to relax for a bit before linking up with Selecta M then making the 2 hour drive to Mannheim for tonights party. It’s always great to take these road trips weather by car of via the train because the scenic routes are always beautiful and peaceful which is a great balance from the usual travel stress.
11:00am Saturday
After Mannheim and a good nights rest it was time to grab some pastries for the road then off on the 5 hour drive to St. Gallen Switzerland (which has become one of my favorite places) for Soul Gallen with DJ Soulsonic (Herr Wempe). Before sound check we always eat an amazing Italian dinner at the cities finest and there’s never a need for me to see the menu because I order the same dish every year. The Soul Gallen night is always a pleasure to play with a great crowd packed in of young and older and all ready to dance.
11:00 Sunday
After a long night it’s time for that long 5 hour drive back to Marburg, then 2 hour drive to Köln where I can kick back and relax for the next few days before playing Thursday nights party at Spirits. The beautiful scenic routes, bathroom breaks and truck stops lunches and entertaining podcasts keep us going and helping the time to fly by.
