A collaboration that we could never see ourselves being tired of is when Russia’s The Soul Surfers link up with the genius mind of musician and composer Shawn Lee. Following up on their self titled LP which dropped earlier this year, the pair have hooked up once again to record a tough double sider 45 on the Spasibo label. Produced by Igor Zhukovsky, “Jose Chicago” is instrumental gold that’s heavy on the drums which is just the way we like it. Flip things over and the goodness continues with “Four Track Mind” and a cut that’s equally as funky as the A-side with minimal vocals to make this more than just and instrumental. You can never go wrong with the outcome when The Soul Surfers and Shawn Lee lock themselves in the studio to work their magic.
